  1. Isn't there supposed to be a reservoir for the radiator when it gets hot. If so where does it go ? I googled some images but the only reservoir I see is for the window wash
  2. I havent tackled it just yet as I keep it at storage. Your description was excellent tho.! It'll definitely come in handy. Another guy who posted got me to thinking that if your gonna make changes or repair anything in there now is the time to do it. So now I been looking at those Dakota dashes just for [censored]s n giggles
  3. Thanks for the tip
  4. Thank you !!!
  5. Ok the headlight switch pulls out to turn lights on but it's a task to turn them back off. ...I dont believe it's the switch itself but the housing. Has anyone ever had to replace or repair this ??
  6. Is it possible that this emblem never was red at all ? I know the car "72 Monte" is 50+ years old but there isn't an ounce of faded red on the old emblem. Did they ever come silver ??
  7. I would check in now and then . Life kinda took me in different directions. I've been to a couple western meets way back when. Now I wanna get back in to my Monte so thought id come back and be a full dues paying member. I hope all has been well with everyone!!
  8. I have a 72 Monte . Is it possible that it came with a turbo 200 tranny? Mechanic says it has 13 bolts and pan looks small. I'm the second owner and I have never had it changed out
  9. Thank you for your input. Much appreciated!! Technology these days is amazing
  10. I agree ! Probably best to just have the whole thing gone through
  11. Good idea...never
  12. No it doesn't slip. Fluid is good. I'm willing to bet it's the bands like you said. Its a 400
