Should I repaint to the factory color?

That is probably one of the things that caught my eye was the paint color on the Monte it is the Cottonwood green and when we went and looked at the Monte it also had the green interior. So I was pretty much already sold lol. But it’s what ever you prefer. -
Happy Birthday Rob that looks like a nice car show thanks for sharing the pics.

Well got my rear drums back from a local tire shop after getting them turned and finished installing the rear brakes. Next on the list will be too replace the front and rear rubber brake hoses. So hopefully making some progress. -

Thanks for the advice Dale yep before I got started on the brakes I took a trip to HF and got there brake tool kit very very helpful. Thanks Wes

Thanks for the advice Dennis and also thanks for posting some pics of the rear drum brakes from Jan 2021 really big help. It actually showed that whoever put the rear brakes on my Monte put them on wrong they had the shorter shoe facing the rear of the Monte. So thanks so much Dennis for the pics. Wes

Awesome job Dale it must be the time for brake work that’s what I’ve been going through I purchased brake shoes, hardware kit, and hardware kit that came with adjusters, wheel cylinders, 2 front brake lines and rear rubber brake line and going to get rear drums turned. It’s definitely a slow process I’ve not dealt with drum brakes since I was in highschool 26 yrs ago lol.

Welcome to the club Allan youve got yourself a nice looking Monte

That’s a nice box but I believe I’d rather have what it goes for and build me a detached garage with a lift lol. Not saying anything bad about Snap-On I was a Heavy Duty Truck Tech for a couple years and that was the truck I purchased most of my tools from and when I graduated college we could choose either a Snap-On tool set or Napa I went for the Snap-On lol. But anymore I just stick with what tools I have or go to Harbor Freight lol. I still have the same Craftsman tool box 20 years later still going strong.
