  1. @Rob Peters and @Marks71 Thanks. Now I see. The thermostat housing for sure. Looks like I need to replace the bracket that connects to it as well. @Dtret I need way more than I thought. Let me know….If anybody needs these chrome parts I will sell them as a whole for a good price. Valve covers, alternator brackets, alternator, thermostat housing, thermostat bracket, and power steering cap. I don’t want any chrome under the hood.😂😂
  2. @Dtret I’ve sourced an alternator bracket. I need all 4 looms for the spark plug wires, and a power steering cap to replace my chrome one. @Rob Peters Speaks on a hose neck that I may need as well. I’m just not sure what that is.
  3. @Rob Peters What neck hose are you referring to?
  4. @Dtret I also need these parts. I don’t know the correct names. Aaron sent me these photos of his. I simply put arrows in the pictures pointing to what I need. One part goes under the heat stove on the passenger side exhaust manifold. The other parts are pieces that hold the spark plug wires. Please let me know if you have these as well as the alternator bracket. Thanks again.
  5. @Dtret Sorry, I didn’t even think about it until after I bought the other parts from you. Here are a few photos.
  6. @Dtret and @Canuck Thanks again for all the help. Valve covers and air cleaner are complete. Now I need to get rid of this chrome alternator bracket and get an OEM one. Would either one of you happen to have one or a lead on where to purchase? 😀
  7. @Dtret Do you want to sell those to me? I’m in Glendale, AZ 85308
  8. @Dtret Yes, I need the part from the exhaust manifold to the air cleaner, and I also need the part from the valve cover to the air cleaner. Both of these pieces circled.
  9. @Rob Peters I really appreciate it. Will I have the stock look if I order those parts? I’m aware that the parts aren’t OEM, but I need for them to at least have the factory correct look.
  10. Hey everyone, I’m looking to install the OEM air cleaner and valve covers on my 1970 Monte Carlo. It has the original 350 engine. I’m hoping someone can help me with a couple issues I ran into. 1) The rivet hole on the exhaust manifold to hold the upper heat stove is blocked. Do you think the best way to get access is to just drill the piece out? Please refer to the photos for a better understanding. And 2) Can anyone tell me the name of the hose that I have circled in the photo? It goes from the valve covers to the air cleaner and I need one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  11. @Dtret The passenger side has a tab welded on the cover. The valve covers should look like this. @Canuck was very helpful and shared these photos with me
  12. I’m looking to buy a pair of original 1970 350 valve covers.
  13. I’m willing to sell this air cleaner. I’ve seen prices between $400-$600, so for right now I’d like to be at $500 for it. If my price is too high I’m open to offers as well. I want to be fair. I will get more photos added tomorrow. Pickup is in Glendale, AZ 85308. I’m also willing to ship at the buyer’s expense.

  14. I was able to work things out, so I will be keeping the car. My son took his senior photos in it. She’s here to stay.
  15. I bought this car with intentions to keep long term. It has always been a dream car of mine. So much so that I had a car and a donor to start the process of having one done myself. Vaughn, me and you have had several discussions. I really cleared the bank on this one. I spent more than I could afford to. I’ve been trying to sell some of my other cars to keep a comfortable cash flow. I still want to keep this car, and there’s a very good chance I still will. I just need a car to sell and I will be comfortable again. My back has been against the wall with finances as of recently and it forced me try and sell the convertible. In all likelihood I will eat the $1,000 that I paid to Mecum and end up keeping it.
  16. Stunning car. Does the cooler come with it? 😜
  17. Everyone, thank you for the kind words. I sure will enjoy this one. Hopefully for years to come.
  18. @72Ragtop Happy New Year and thank you for sharing. I did buy the 70 Misty Turquoise convertible. I got her right before Christmas. Since acquiring the car I have gotten the ac working and added a sport steering wheel. This car already has power windows along with a couple other rare options. Here are a few photos of it in my driveway next to my big block 454 70 SS Tribute
  19. Ok, thanks again Aaron. I appreciate the elaboration. I’m now convinced that this setup will not work for me. If you had problems with 245’s then these 255’s definitely won’t work.
  20. Merry Christmas to all. I’ve been getting mixed responses and I’m hoping for a definite answer. I have a 1970 Monte Carlo. I’d like to put my 15x8 4” offset rally wheels on. The front tires are 215/70/15 and the rears are 255/60/15. Will these go right on without any clearance issues? I have stock suspension
  21. The blue vin sticker on the driver’s door shows 02/70
