  1. you can try Dixie restoration depot, they sale headliners. never used them for interior , not sure about quality.
  2. No I do not have the original carb , edelbrock 1901 , close to the QJET. Been on about 25years , motor is pretty much stock , mild cam that is currently it.
  3. Gents any recommendations on carb for my 70SS
  4. Exactly. What heard from Pypes ,American OPGI. Is the A body system should fit the Monte’s . There is a place in Charlotte pretty close to me that does custom . I want to go ARH HEADERS , but I also like the Gardner exhaust systems . From what I’ve looked up the Gardner only hooks up to stock manifolds didn’t see anything about system to headers.
  5. Afternoon Gents. Just and FYI from American Racing Headers if didnt know they do make a complete Exhaust system for A body cars to go along with the mMonte headers, 2.5 and 3" system from headers back even though the Monte Engines sits back 4" ,ARH said the system will work, can get all clamps , and hangers. do have the oval tips in 2.5", 3". pricey though. $2,324.53
  6. LopBuri Thailand , loved it there , great food , great people. Barstow , really wanted that assignment, about 4 hours from home.
  7. Evening. 10 years US Army , sent to first persian gulf war in 1990 as a weapons specialist with the 1st infantry division. spent time with the 25th in Hawaii, short stint in Thailand. reenlisted out on the Arizona memorial while in Hawaii. to transfer to Fort Irwin in Barstow california to be part of the opposing forces tactical training program. just as luck would have it , orders got changed sent to Fort Stewart GA. got out after that. loved my time in the service, no regrets.
  8. Good morning Gents. Need a little help. What is the correct or best timing setting for my 70 454. Stock motor, mild Cam not sure of lift. HEI IGNITION , no vacuum advance. Thanks for the help gents
  9. check the horse shoe bracket that the NSS switch tab goes into, i have had the same issue with my 70, replaced everything once , starter twice including battery cables work for a bit then not, i figured it out just by chance, i thought i had the NSS switch correct used alignment hole, start then wouldn't pushed the shifter all the way forward in park held it forward car started everytime. adjusted NSS switch bolt holes are slotted, currently no issues since then
  10. Way to go. That is awesome Clint.
  11. Gents. After a couple weeks of troubleshooting and pulling my hair out . There is nothing like the sound of a BIG BLOCK CHEVY running on all 8. Simply epic. Thanks to everyone who answered the call for help. Gents you are the best . FGMCC all the way.
  12. Gents I think I have it, got power , she cranked . Issue is I had to hold the horseshoe in the most forward neutral and park position to get it to crank. If I don’t hold the shifter forward I get nothing. I lined the neutral safety switch with the alignment hole when I replaced it . Is it w en possible my linkage is off. I know when the vehicle was shipped after I received it I noticed when I try to put selector in first it hits my exhaust just a bit , doesn’t in any other position. Any thoughts.
  13. thanks my brothers, i will just frustrating electrical gremlins. be getting on it today,
  14. Perfection at its finest.
