i already have the extra thick gaskets think it is 0,315. if it was the rockers hitting the cover wouldn't it sound loud all the time? when i drive the car so the engine is under load the sound is VERY loud.

i have run the engine whitout any belts, adjusted the valves and changed the hedder gaskets but nothing helps.
the engine is brand new have only about 150 miles on it when the sound started. the sound follows the rpm and is only there when its warm. can it be a lifter problem? the cam is a zz502 roller cam with morel lifters.
go with a hyd roller cam, even with a very mild one you can make very good power. my 468 with only 9.0 cr, zz502 cam, edelbrock rpm heads, rpm intake and holley 750 carb makes 470hp.
do you think this will be a good street combo and will it make 450 hp?
