  1. Nice find. That’s in good condition.
  2. Welcome! This is a great group here. It looks like a nice project to work on with your son. You can still call yourself an A body guy as the Montes are also an A body (technically A special). The Grand Prix of that vintage is a G body. 🙂
  3. Welcome!
  4. Yes, classic cars tend to sell for less in Canada but the parts and pretty much everything else that goes into them cost more up here.
  5. I would love that to be true. 😂
  6. I just picked these up at a swap meet today. $6 for all 4 cars!
  7. Some photos of a gathering we had this weekend. My 1970 Monte had a brake booster issue so I drove my 1973 442 instead. Thursday night car show, Friday cruise, Friday night car show, Saturday car show. Total of 8 first gen Montes during the weekend.
  8. There’s 9 of us now. I have a good cruise route planned for Friday. Looking forward to the weekend.
  9. If a car comes available with all the right colours and options for you then it’s not a big deal to pay above market value. I know that I would pay above market value if I came along something like my first car that has been all restored. In the long run if I don’t need to paint it or change options in the car it is a win in my opinion.
  10. I personally like the green mist with dark green top combo. I assume it is still green interior. If that’s the case, the mist green is very complementary with that interior and a good choice in my opinion.
  11. 1970-72 Chevelle seats fit. I believe the 68-69 had a different rear seat and armrest.
  12. We’re up to 5 Montes already. Not bad for a last minute planning thing. The latest addition is an extremely nice black convertible. Should be a good time.
  13. Sorry to hear you can’t make it Doug. I’ll see you at the Western Meet next year!
  14. First Gen Monte Carlo Meet Aldergrove, BC, Canada Sep 5-6, 2025 There's a group of us getting together at the Langley Good Times Cruise-in in Aldergrove, BC Sep 5-6, 2025. The car show Saturday has roughly 1,300 cars and 100,000 spectators. We will also do a group cruise on Friday. There is also a swap meet on Sunday if you wish to stick around for that. Let me know if you are interested in joining us. Event web site https://langleycruisein.ca/ Registration I recommend you pre-register for the event at the link above We will be meeting up early Saturday morning to roll in to the car show as a group.
  15. Welcome! Sorry to hear about your Dad. I’m glad to see the Monte is staying in the family.
