jayzi Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Hi guys. Is it possible to remove the wood grain from the dashboard without dismount the dashboard itself? I have removed the four upper screws on the grain but it's not yet moving. Quote
montefrazer Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 You can see where the metal hold downs for the wood grain are on the back of this dash http://www.ebay.com/itm/271307931885?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 wouldn't be easy to do without at least loosening the dash up and pulling it forward. Also they are tacked-in with an adhesive, after years of use it tends to loosen-up a bit. Good luck! Quote
jayzi Posted November 2, 2013 Author Posted November 2, 2013 Thanks guys. When I look at the photos it's obvious that it's almost impossible to remove it without disassembling the whole board first. But not a problem, I need to paint the chrome rings anyway and I also want to replace the clock with a tach. More work, more fun. Quote
