Daryl Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Hello everyone! I’m still accumulating parts for my resto mod and started researching for improved interior lighting ideas. Has anyone here added lights to their car and would be kind enough to show them? I’m thinking of adding a brighter /different dome light and something in the sail panels. I have already added rear foot well lights from my new front seats. There are lights on the back shell that shine down. Quote
Murphy Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I've added this lighting kit under the dash which was easy to install and is a great improvement...... http://www.americanautowire.com/shop/courtesy-light-connection-kit Quote
Andreas Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I used these all over the interior, works great: http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-light-modules/round-led-accent-light/17/ Quote
Boots Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 any pics of your rear seat lighting??....someone was gonna ask...lol Quote
footballubet Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I'm looking at LED's for under the dash and on the ceiling. Probably add one under each front bucket to shine on the back floor. Quote
Daryl Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 This is the light in the back shell on the bucket seats. Quote
Big Jim Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Some of the Buick or Olds had the Sail Panel Lights. You might check with Year One or NPD. Quote
NewTimer Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 You put in challenger seats? Got any pictures? My dad has a srt8 392 and love the seats Quote
Daryl Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 Yes I am installing 2012 Challenger front and rear seats with the center console. My car is no where near done so it doesn't look that great with the new seats setting in there. Quote
LS5 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Hey Daryl, Here a couple of pictures of Factory GM rear Courtesy lights in my 1970 Convertible Monte. They were only availible in convertibles like the chevelle, buick, cadillac, gto, and olds etc… But you could put them into a hardtop as they plug into the dome light harness in the trunk area. They can be found complete sometimes on Ebaymotors.. Darren. sorry poor quality pics but you can see them and get the point…. Quote

Daryl Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 I finally got some lights that I liked. These came out of 2002 sts Cady. I'll be installing these in the sail panels. The key is for size reference. Quote
