Hi every one I am new to this and my typing skills are less than slow so bear with me. I took my dash apart without taking a picture first. I have a 3 sided light blue rectangular plastic piece and cant figure out where it goes on the back of the instrument cluster I have the complete dash out of my 72 baby. I have a photo but not sure how to upload with message

Send the picture to me at silverado1@windstream.net and if I can't identify the piece I will post it here for you.

And welcome to the boards!

Only thing I know that is blue is the brights indicator. Don't think it's rectangular though.

This is the only pic I have but mine is a 70.

I believe what you're talking about is a light enhancer that fits behind the speedometer between the metal body and the gauge face, that helps give the light a bluish tint.

A picture would help though.

Didn't have that piece on my 70 but looks like it goes around the head light switch?!?! Interesting.

That looks like a piece I saw behind my heater controls. And a bulb screwed in where that circle was to give it a greenish blue tint when illuminated. Im not sure because I never fully pulled the part off but saw something similar when replacing that little bulb

We need a pool going on where this thing goes....

When I took mine apart in September, it was attached where the speedometer cable attaches to the gauge.
