Sam (Bones) Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 well my shiftworks in dash tach is giving me problems I installed a DUI distributor and it's reading way high, so I installed my autometer tach and it works fine I called shiftworks, they are going to do some research, they did have to make some changes since I bought mine many years ago. I guess some of the MSD stuff was giving them troubles. herb is going to see if the new circuitry will help me I give kudos to them for there efforts to help me I hope I don't have to pull the cluster out Quote
Gonzo Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Hope you get it working Sam, you'll love it. Keeps a nice clean looking dash. Mine is hooked to a standard HEI, had no problems and it's really accurate. Quote
Sam (Bones) Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 That's why I'm bummed Steve, I've had it for years now and putting that big ol' autometer back in there sucks Quote
Gonzo Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Hope you get it working. Keep us updated I would like to know what they figure out and if you get it to work. Quote
Sam (Bones) Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 another issue is my stereo (radio and CD) have noise that gets worse and faster as the engine speeds up only thing I changed was the distributor and added Platinum spark plugs Quote
Gonzo Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 That's weird. Are the platinums resistors? I have a noise filter in my radio wiring, don't know if I need it or not, it was in when I got the car. Quote
