footballubet Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Cool Knight! Willie has one he brings to Carlisle. Good conversation piece. Quote
Rob Peters Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 You should bring it to the Eastern Meet next year. WeMay shoot for the "Best Theme Canopy Award" Rob Quote
willie Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Hey Guys, I have a chance to buy an 8ft Knight. Havent seen it yet, but I know where it is and have to check it out. The only problem with this is how am I going to transport it back and forth to the EM. But I am working on it...LOL Quote
Sam (Bones) Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I've keep my eyes open for one too! Quote
7tonemonte Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I have a smaller one that I'll bring this year Rob, but I was speaking to a lady who owns a beer distributor, she has a huge knight in there from an old beer company, trying to talk her out of it! Quote
cny first gen 71 Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Willie the one you have is great except I have seen him with a beer in his hand. No problem he fits right in with us Quote
willie Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Hey Steve, didn't he also have a pack of smokes? Good thing he has no teeth or someone would be giving him some chew.lol Quote
Rob Peters Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Willie the one you have is great except I have seen him with a beer in his hand. No problem he fits right in with us The bad thing about Willie's Knight ishe can't hold his booze, the beer goes right through him. Rob Quote
Canuck Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Went for a nice cruise in the 71 today. I have not had it out much since the Western Meet in August so it was nice to give it a good run. Here's some photos I took today. Quote
LostnFound Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Cool pics there Aaron...thanks for sharing. Quote
Rob Peters Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Looks like it was a beautiful day in the Northwest Rob Quote

McCall72 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I succeeded where two alignment shops failed by aligning the 72 today using a length of string and a tape measure. Car drives straight as an arrow now. Quote
monte70car Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Got the rear brake lines hard line around the rear end and up to the rubber line today, also got the e-brake cables run. Quote
cny first gen 71 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Took mine to work today, of corse had a photo op at one of the oldest resturants in the area its been around since the 50s and there known for there hot dogs they sell thousands of them a year. And of corse at work we got the # 1 parking spot Quote
Arvizu9618 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Makes total sense to me. Getting beer is a perfect justification of firing up the Monte. But groceries on the other hand? Absolutely not! How about frozen yogurt? I took my wife in the Monte for some today Quote
Patrick Sheean Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 I posted on the interior forum too, but here is the new Vintage Radio. It look original (SS) but is all new inside. Sounds great and looks nice too. Quote
LostnFound Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 I drove mine over to the garage where my 2 step-sons work pumping gas. I pulled it in to the garage bay that has a mechanics pit and sprayed the whole underneath with Rust Check rust inhibitor. I had already topped it off with fuel so just added gas stabilizer. I then drove it over to the barn, parked it with a small sheet of plywood under all 4 tires, sprayed storage spray down the carb, placed cab fresh in the interior and moth balls in the trunk and under the hood, pulled the battery and covered it up for a long winter nap. I miss it already. Quote
58impala Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Had wheels powdercoated and installed new BFG P245/60R15Radial T/As. 1 Quote
footballubet Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Looks good! I did the same upgrade on mine 2 years ago. Quote
Patrick Sheean Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Wheels look great, same choice here. Quote
MC1970U Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Finished installing a new radiator ala USRadiator. Very happy with it. Hey I would like to leave some reviews on items I have installed on the Monte. What's the best way to go about that as I don't see anywhere special that is being done? spoony Quote
