I glued the insulation in for the new headliner, and the prepped the headliner for installing its bows in it, and got them  installed in the same holes as when I took the old headliner out.

I clipped the front and rear edges of the headliner to the roof edges for the moment.

Now, I'll watch the headliner installation video again to refresh my memory of the process of installing the front, rear, and then the sides. This will be my first time ever installing a headliner that has bows.

I didn't work on the headliner this evening, but I did get the new black package tray trim and insulation pad down off the storage rack in prep to install them soon.

I did mount the new Cerwin Vega 6x9 speakers to the bottom of the package tray and ran the heavier speaker cables up to the new JVC deck. I powered it on to listen to them and the front Kenwood speakers sounded like crap, so I swapped those out for the better sounding Rockford Fosgate speakers. They have a little bit deeper magnet, so on the left side with the instrument cluster, I'll have to fab up a short extension for one of the factory angle brackets so that the speaker can sit forward a smidge and down in its pocket area.

First start since September last night.  Removed the AC condenser and started installing the parallel flow condenser.  Hope to be making ice cubes at the AC vents.

Not work on the Monte per se, but changed the axles on the trailer that tows the car. One of the axles always had a bit of a  camber situation, where the wheels were pointed in at the top. It's likely it may have been overloaded in it's prior lifetime at some point. Tires wore fine, just something that bothered me.

At any rate, finished it up yesterday and will start loading it up for the trip soon.

All them axles really need some center support bracing. That’s a lot of weight on them tubes. You got your floor dirty. I’m not happy. lol. Well done. That’s one way of getting the brakes done too.

The axles still had a bit of a 'bow' in them at the middle, but you could see where the U-Bolts had hit the upper steel frame in the past. May have bent them right at the point between the leaf springs and wheel hub.

Joe, i am not one to tease about waiting for the last minute (as i haven't had a chance to even get in the trailer yet!).  Glad you're getting her done as i noticed that on your trailer also and didn't want anything to happen!!

I still can't believe how clean your shops are, do you have a cleaning person or something? lol

Had to wait for Doug to bring the trailer, he had a lot of other things going on, and his Chevelle was still stored in it.

It was totally a timing thing. Joe and Doug picked up the axels around 3-4 months ago.

I went down to garage to get monte out but it failed to start. The 12 year old battery gave up the ghost so I went out and got a new one and got it put in. Then went to see Bob to get cars annual inspection (thank you Bob) so now all set for the year I guess. Was going to go to cruise in but maybe I'll just go get ice cream.

Good for you. I hope you didn’t use the Coors light for the lubricant in the system. 😬

I visited my Monte in its storage garage.  I put some things in the trunk for the trip to Carlisle next Wednesday.  I do need to check the tire pressures before I leave on Wednesday.
