car wont move... 700r4

i cant get my car to move i have a 700r4 tranz an a 2800 stall i brought it up to 2800+ an i got nothin.... its full of fluid... HELP!!

check the easy things first!

 

make sure the shifter cable/linkage is operating correctly

A little more info may be needed. Did you just install the converter or a complete trans? Is it the right converter for the trans? There are 27 spline and 30 spline input shafts. Not sure if they would interchange.

transmission identification number 8663549 and it was a complete trans an the converter came with it

Did you adjust the TV cable?

Was this just rebuilt?

 

Sounds like they didn't properly install the manual valve shifter linkage at the valve body.

it was rebuilt. an the guy who sold it to me said he used it in his caprice or something. an it has a reverse manual valve body

if the TV cable is incorrectly adjusted, you can destroy a 700 in a matter of minutes

 

if you are not familiar with the workings internally of one of these STOP!!!

 

find someone who does, I personally have never heard of a reverse valve body on a 700, but I'm not a guru on these units either

well TCI offers 2 different ones for a 700, not sure what brand is in yours

all tci internals.. i was not getting any fluid to the tranz cooler.. i pulled the unit an off to the shop it goes

Mine is not going into OD.Shop that rebuilt it yesterday adjusted cable and still no OD.Will have to cary it back next week they are too busy this week.Shifts hard out of first now cable still not right.
