Need help with choosing Edelbrock carb

I've got a stock 350. I've been told to get the 600 cfm and then been told to get the 500 cfm. I have a 500 cfm on a corvette with a 327 and it runs great. Which should I get for the Monte?

I am running the 600 with no problem. I was told the 500 also but thought it would not be sufficient.

a 500 or 600 will work, I wouldn't go more than 600

On my 350 CI 290 horse crate motor I am using a Eldebrock 1406

I have the 600 on my stock 350, electric choke one. Think it's the 1406 Larry mentioned.

Bolted it on and went, never adjusted it, and it's been great for me

I had to put a spacer under mine but cannot remember why so I need to talk to my son in=law and find out so's I know if he remembers.

Larry you might have put a spacer due to the bore of the intake spread bore to square bore.

I think it was due to linkage problem with the intake that is on it

that's why I put one in. Idle 2 minutes, then WOT when leaving, I died without the spacer.

I got it all installed. Spacer and all. Runs great. Now gonna have to figure out how to get the breather on without it messing with the throttle. I'm not sure if I have enough clearance to raise the breather up with a spacer. It's always something lol
