Sam (Bones) Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 most 1970 montes did not have one Quote
Pfloydss Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 Mine has one one on the inner fender but has deteriorated with holes Quote
footballubet Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 It was probably an aftermarket add on. You can still buy them at most auto parts. Quote
stangeba Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 My 71 never had one but I don't have A/C. I don't remember my friends 71 SS with A/C having one either. That's why we must keep our radiators at the full level mark, well below the top of the fill neck, or it will blow out excess coolant when it gets to operating temperature and expands. Bruce Quote
70bowtie Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 My 71 has A/C but didn't have one but I put one on belong to a 82-93 Camaro/Firebird,you can still buy it new from GM and it fits pretty good. Here are a couple of pics. Quote
72-CLASSIC_RIDE Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 No over flow bottle installed on my 72 Custom either. There was one installed by the previous owner when I bought it. Doug Quote
Gerard Munday Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 I don't know if you want to go this route but 75-79 chevy nova had a overflow tank that will fit behind the pass. side headlight. It goes under the fender along side the battery. The only pare visible is the filler cap. I didn't think they made them as repo's but I found them listed in chevynova.com P/N 14042-1for $39.95.Maybe this will help. Jay and Jenny 1 Quote
