Guest Posted May 5, 2002 Posted May 5, 2002 never done it personally, but if you look closely you see that the shroud is maybe in 2 pieces, and on the left n right centre are staples thru the plastic, leastways thats how it looks to me. but i know what you mean, i was trying to get to the harmonic balancer, and realised it was not 1 man job to take out and relocate fan unit n shroud etc, tho someone told me to replace fan bolts with studs n nuts, good idea methinks, but i didnt complete the job anywayz, another day jon

Guest Posted May 6, 2002 Posted May 6, 2002 Looking at it again I can see three ways of getting the shroud off (Sawsall method not included): 1. Pull radiator after removing shroud and sitting it over the fan. 2. Remove fan 3. Remove staples holding shroud together. I think I like option 1 or 2 for right now. Thanks, Allen
Guest Posted May 6, 2002 Posted May 6, 2002 After taking it loose just pull it back over the fan blade, turn it. I forget right or left, then you can work it out without messing anything up. David
