Kevin Wiles Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Need new seat covers for a 70 bench. black. where should I get them and what should I look for? looking for good price and quick shipping/ no back-orders etc.. Quote
Mike Brichta Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I have used several brands of seat covers over the years and in my opinion the Legendary covers are the best. They may cost a little more but the quality is exceptional and they have a lifetime warranty. Mike Quote
7tonemonte Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 The ones I got from Cars-Inc were very nice, but I had to order from them due to mine being cloth, and they were the only ones at the time selling that. I know plenty of people with Legendary covers, and they look great, and was told they fit perfect also. The new ones with the added bolster for the buckets are really comfy also, and don't look non-stock. Quote
Leghome Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Legendary as Mike said is about the best. The lead time is usually 6 weeks for them but well worth the wait. Last year it took 9 weeks to get mine but they had the 25% off sale that ended around the 12th of Jan. so there were several orders in at that time. I talked to a rep at a Hot Rod Show in INDY last Feb. and he said their biggest problem was getting people to come to work. I got the ones with the bolsters that Tony mentioned and they do look stock. Quote
cny first gen 71 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Legendary if they have the pattern for bench covers, when I did mine they didnt or I would have gone with them. They were very helpful. Quote
stangeba Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 I wonder how many different places actually do their own sewing, vs purchase them already made? When I had my car at a car show at CARS INC store in Rochester Hills Michigan, a lady was looking at my 71 Monte cloth bench seats and said she works there and sews the material but never gets to see them all finished and in vehicles. I purchased the cloth and a trim shop did the sewing, using most of my old vinyl that was still OK. That was back in 1984! Bruce Quote
