ex. manifolds

 what is the width of the ex. manifolds  where the bolts go through ? 5/8 ?. i had mine machined and they are too thin.   i am looking for a set of exhaust manifolds gm 3909879  and 3916178  mine were date coded a 26 70. i contatced leo about a used set.   thanks joe

Yes, the thickness of the ears is 5/8 where the bolts go through.

How much had to be removed to get them flat? Can you maybe use a shorter bolt?

I'm thinking a flat manifold is better than a used one that isn't.
