GatorDog72 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Ever had to smash your headers to make them fit your car? I had to do this recently to clearance steering parts. I was freaking out because I didn't want to bash on my new headers and lose a bunch of power. Apparently there's nothing to worry about. Check out this video, I thought this was funny/cool. 72MC Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 "Let's go make more power". Priceless !!!!! That video is awesome. I guess you learn something everyday. Thanks for sharing. Two thumbs up. - Dave ps - and being sponsored by Amsoil makes it that much better. THE BEST oil on the market,....period. Quote
MCfan Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Thanks for sharing that Amsoil video, Ryan. That's good to know, although I hope my wife doesn't see it because that was going to be my justification for asking for a new set of headers for my upcoming birthday! Guess I can stop worrying about the clearance reshaping done on my long-tube headers back in '74 when the engine was modified. Apparently no one made headers specifically for a Monte back then so both sides had to be massaged to clear the starter and allow access to the oil filter and certain spark plugs. It may not affect engine performance, but is sure looks awful! Quote
Sam (Bones) Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 That was interesting! As far as Amsoil goes and what I seen with my bearings after this year down... I WILL NOT BE USING AMSOIL AGAIN!!! Quote
