thoughts on this? 2017 6.2 for $500

so through my daily scouraging of the interwebs i came across this.

it seems to be worth it just for the accessories  but i dont know much about the 6.2. currently i have a 6.0 in my garage.

 

also what would make a motor with 7 k throw a rod?

I would suspect a long hill,towing something it couldn't, and maybe low on oil at the time. Probably overheated too. Cylinder head is banged up for sure,good for parts only. 6.2L would be a good build motor. 650 hp out of some of these with the right parts. I'd stick with your 6.0L easy to make power and they are lots of them to choose from.

i agree, just saw that price tag and it made me wonder. the 6.0 i have should be a pretty stout street motor as soon as i hit the lottery and find some garage time this winter

From 2014 and up Chevy used a LT based motor which is a lot more complected then the LS format.

My two cents, the only thing good on it is the accessories and those can only be used on a block 2014 and newer.

the inside of the motor my have other issues.
