70 Camino & 70 Monte rear - Same?

Does anyone know if a 12-bolt rear from a 70 El Camino is the same as a 12-bolt rear from a 70 Chevelle/Monte?

I may be wrong, but I think they will interchange. I have a 1967 Chevelle 12 bolt under my 1971 Monte Carlo. Years ago I put a 12 bolt from a Impala, don't remember the year (67 0r 68?) under a 1970 Monte Carlo.

Yes it does. My 71 Monte has a 3:31 Posi 10 bolt from a 71 Elcamino.

I never heard of a 3:31 posi 10 bolt rear end.
