I know the vinyl top trim edge was painted the same color as the top. My question is the correct finish on these parts. Is it a flat or semi-gloss, or a satin finish?

The paint codes are below. What color is your top? Satin looks good, but the codes should be exact.

Who's paint codes are those?

I just went with a dark flat color. The real trick is getting it to stick. I see unpainted vinyl break moldings unpainted all the time.

I dull sanded the surface, warmed it and applied self etching primer. After cured, warmed it again and applied the final paint. All rattle can.

I see them unpainted alot, but to me, they seem unfinished. It is time well spent to repaint them, in my opinion. They came from the factory painted and they look better that way, I think. The codes are in our technical section.

Krylon Satin black...if you have a black top. Krylon makes the best rattle can paint out of all of them. Make sure the surface is clean and double insurance would be to scuff it up a bit.
