Finally got my engine up n running just one minor thing stopping me, powersteering hoses. I wad going to try and just make some out of some hose i used for my fuel lines but it’s working pressure is too low. so if anyone knows of some hoses i can get from the auto parts store that will fit the stock truck pump and then onto my jeep Cherokee steering box. i know both use the same metric o ring fittings and all that i just want a hose that’s gonna fit nicely.

Also, if you do some research on the ls1 site, there is a place that sells fittings that lets you use your stock hoses with the o-ring/metric steering box.

I used the line from a ~1985 Monte Carlo SS.  That's with the LM7 steering pump, JGC steering box, and slightly modified mounting (ICT Billet accessory mounts).  The local stores here would make hydraulic hoses, but nothing with steel lines.  They're catering more to the farmers.

If you swap out the nut/fitting with one from a Monte SS (g-body)  on the back of the p/s pump that would work also. I have done a few.

I make them out of PTFE line and fittings, look on Summits site. I have done 2 so far and no leaks.

Just make sure it's rated for power steering, a lot of the braided hose out there isn't rated for brake or power steering pressures.
