You should have no problem. If you are planning on using an air cleaner you will need a dropped base one.

when I installed this base and a 3” filter I took a piece of modeling clay rolled it into a cylinder and stuck it on the top of the air cleaner and closed the hood slowly. Upon opening the hood I measured the clay to see its height (it had been compressed by the hood when closed) and had over 3” of clearance, hope this helps
