Hey guys, I know these are old posts but man I have also looked everywhere for that same upper hose retainer to the shroud. any Idea where I could find them. both my 70's are missing them.   any help is appreciated  steve

I don’t think anyone has any. We’ve all been trying to make soothsayer looks close but haven’t got there yet. lol.

I could use one also. I believe the one I found was a bit too short. The top one is the correct size. I did take this picture March 2010, but that was a long time ago.

I ended up making my own by bending a piece of aluminum and covering it with shrink tubing. I've also used these in the past.

That looks much better than the plastic straps. Nicely done and gives me another project

I've got plenty of those from dealership days, don't like.  But the aluminum and shrink tubing fabrication is very nice.  Great look!  I'll try that also.

Steve, are you saying you have the exact one that was used on our Monte's from the factory or some like it.  I would love to get a couple originals to see if the company that makes the current ones would have anything or if not could they make them for us..   If they are the same as the original ones I may be willing to buy a couple of them from you if you would be willing to part with a couple of them.

Between my brother and myself we have 7 first gens. They all could use the correct ones. And a couple spares. Me having the parts seems to be helping you. lol. It’s all going to good homes……. Eventually.
