So after humming and hawing about what I want to do with my front suspension, I decided to bite the bullet and get the set of QA1 upper and lower street control arms. Now I won't feel so bad putting the viking setup in.

Anyone running the control arms? I am curious if they need a plate in the bottom to mount the shock to or if it has the stock bolt locations.

Well 2 years later I finally finished the installation and took it for a first drive. I only eyeballed the alignment so its not perfect.

First things first, it rides very firm. At least compared to what it was before. I added a rear swaybar while I was in there so that firmed up the body roll as well. Swapped my old aluminum wheels that were 225/60r15 all around. Now I am running 235/70r15 up front and 275/60r15 in the rear on corvette rallys.

Needs a good wash. My dad has been working on his 66 Chevelle and hes at the bodywork stage. Dust everywhere

Washed her up. Does it look level to you? It feels weird. Like the front is higher. Which I guess technically it is as the original springs were sagging badly.

Looks great. Body work dust is like sand on the beach it gets in everywhere and you find it weeks later. Just make sure your car is outside so not to get over spray on it.

Drove around a bit more today. It is a noticeable difference in handling. I do have the coils wound up pretty high so that can affect the spring rates. I have all the coilovers set to the middle I believe to see if I need to change anything yet. Might be a tad too stiff a ride. I will say that greasing the upper and lower control arms etc, I never got a single squeak out of the bushings. I was expecting it to squeak a lot at first.

Took a good look on level ground in a parking lot today. Definitely sits higher in the rear. I will have to grab a pic sometime tomorrow.
