Canuck Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 Update: I was happy enough with the Cooper Cobras on my 71 I got the same 255/60 tires for my 70. They ride nice and look great. I quickly got used to the larger letters. 6 Quote
stangeba Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I don't need tires yet but if I did, I don't believe they make tires with a small single white wall, like I had in 71 and still have today (but they are radial). Picture is of my original spare tire that is still in the trunk. 6 Quote

That looks great Steve, I'm sure you get a lot of attention when you take the Monte to the campground. 2 Quote

That was at the Syracuse nationals last year there was around 600 campers and almost everyone had cars there it was like a car show before the show but it got it's share of attention, it's always a great time there. 4 Quote

Hi Clint, the tires are 275/60/15, and the wheels are 15 x 8 1/2". The backspace on the American Racing website says 3.81". This car has a 9" rear end in it that I had custom made by quick performance with a 57 3/4" wheel flange to wheel flange measurement. I knew I wanted those wheels and I knew I wanted the 9", so I actually got the wheels and tires first, mocked them up and then had the rear end built. 3 Quote
