Jared Richey Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Cool idea. Didn't even think of that. I guest add that to list of my build also. Nice looking too. Quote
680HPStroker Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 +1 for the BMR loop. I have one and it fits like a glove. Quote
kc8oye Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 if you run faster then 13.99 on just about any drag strip, a driveshaft loop is required. i believe NHRA also requires them if you run slicks... not to mention like alan said... doing the pole-vault at 100mph.. Quote
Sam (Bones) Posted April 25, 2008 Author Posted April 25, 2008 do you want to buy one of those too???? Quote
Jared Richey Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I'll be putting 2 of them on my car I'm building before I go drag racing. One in the front and one in the back. Jared Quote
Heckeng Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Hey Jared, before you go buy one for the rear, it will be difficult to do. Since the rear end moves so much up and down, the loop would have to be very tall, which would catch anything that you drive over. As long as you do the front one, you'll be good to go. If the front u-joint breaks, it will be caught by the safety loop, if the rear joint breaks, you won't pole vault, the drive shaft will just drag or fall out. Quote
