Sound Deadener

Hey everybody. I was driving the car last night, and I had the back seat out, and man, my fuel pump was loud. I decided that I was going to put in some extra sound deadening before I put the back seat stuff back in.

 

What have you used that has worked for sound, where do you get it, and how much does it cost.

 

I'd like to keep cost down, and I plan on putting it under the back seat, then up the framework where the back seat will cover up.

Is there sticky stuff all over the back side? What does it look like from the trunk side?

What do you care what the back side looks like...haven't you put a firewall in there for your fuel cell yet...

I just don't want all of the dust and junk in my trunk sticking to it making it look worse than it already does! And, I actually found a loophole in the firewall thing. If you have your battery in a box, vented to the outside of the car, you don't need the firewall. Much easier solution

I put a vented battery box and a firewall in, so I guess I covered all the bases

I thought if you had a fuelcell in the trunk you had to have the firewall, I think if it a alum cell you don't, but I have a poly one, and I just found out that if there is a steel ring on the filer neck, it must be grounded (the ring)

Hmmm.. I'm not sure on the cell issue. They didn't question it the last time I raced, but that doesn't mean anything!
