I'm replacing  the stock suspension with coil overs. The front coil overs have a plastic cushion for the spring in the lower A arm. Should it also have a plastic cushion in the upper A arm

for the top of the spring? Thanks, Ed

I guess it depends on which manufacturer you use.  I just installed Vikings and they had no plastic cushions anywhere.  I did get a metal plate off of UMI they had made to reinforce the stock lower arm.   It worked awesome. 
are you using factory A arms?

I'm using aftermarket tubular A-arms.
