SPLATT71MC Posted August 15, 2021 Posted August 15, 2021 I'm looking to add some LED driving lights to my car for cruising those back country roads at night and looking for ideas to discretely add some. I'd normally mount them behind the grille but seeing that 71s have some pretty tight spacing I feel like I'd just be lighting up the backside of the grille. Quote
Dtret Posted August 15, 2021 Posted August 15, 2021 I realize that this is a very dumb idea but what if you used a couple of 72 front extensions and used the turn signal spots for your driving lights. I told you it was dumb. Lol. Quote

71MonteCarloMD Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 I agree to keep the 71 grille 😀 I read some reviews on LED lights that have mixed reviews so I am not ready to convert mine yet. Quote

Of course you don’t change the grill on a 71. That’s like butchery. Lol. Modify the extensions. You can probably get a set cheap somewhere Quote
MC1of80 Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 Find headlights with the turn signals incorporated, like the street rod guys and add aux lights where the turn signals are now. Quote
