I'm looking to add some LED driving lights to my car for cruising those back country roads at night and looking for ideas to discretely add some. I'd normally mount them behind the grille but seeing that 71s have some pretty tight spacing I feel like I'd just be lighting up the backside of the grille.

I realize that this is a very dumb idea but what if you used a couple of 72 front extensions and used the turn signal spots for your driving lights. I told you it was dumb. Lol.

I've thought of using a 72 grill but put the driving lights in the 71 bumper instead but I really like the 71 grille over the 72.

Of course you don’t change the grill on a 71. That’s like butchery. Lol. Modify the extensions. You can probably get a set cheap somewhere

Find headlights with the turn signals incorporated, like the street rod guys and add aux lights where the turn signals are now.
