On mine I’m thinking the fm radio. Although I did the tilt.

As you get older you really like the tilt voice of experience here and the ole midriff bulge that is now disappearing

Today's to do. Lol. Found the inner and outer heater box assy that has been "in stock" for the better part of 20+ years.

Removed the p/s box, steering column, steering linkage, upper and lower control arms, springs, spindle/brake assys, brake lines, engine frame mounts. Seam sealed upper half of the cowl panel.

Basically removed everything off of the front half of the frame and continued further the paint/surface rust removal.

Hello all!

This week's update: Kevin welded up all the "unknown, unneeded" holes in the firewall, we finished stripping down the paint on the underside of the chassis and managed to prime everything.      I also have totally disassembled one of the tilt columns we have "in stock" to assess the internals and restore it for an Xmas gift to my son. Yes, he will be getting other things also. Lololol and he does know about it. Lol

The frame and firewall? Yes. The chassis will be Eastwood chassis black and the firewall Eastwood underhood black.

Noooo. Not starting that snowball..... Yet. Lol. Most likely just going to respray the nose that has some paint damage. Black is the color for this one.

Willie, I drive for a living so I know how to deal with traffic. That being said, you’re being generous with two days. I’d give myself about 3 hours before I’m in jail. Lol.

Hello, hello! This week's update! Chassis and firewall painted. Parts starting to go back on. Idler arm, manually steering box, coupler and center link. Spindles broken down, cleaned and painted. Tilt column parts all painted and getting ready to reassemble. Still waiting for a few parts to be delivered and have to order some more. Snowball affect! Lol

Thank you Willie! Yup, back together. Like others said and many know, it comes apart quicker than it goes back together.

Today's project...

The first 2 pics are of selector shafts. The long one is for a non tilt and the shorter a tilt column. The arm for the back drive was cut off the tilt shaft. Idk why, that's how I got it. Was going to try to swap the non tilt lower portion to the tilt and make it stock but to no avail. Removed what was left of the arm from the tilt column shaft and painted. We decided to do this  anticipating the huge  headers he is planning to use. That's our story with that. Lol

Reassembled the tilt steering column as far as I could. No turn signal switch yet. Still waiting for it. Also disassembled the lower shaft, repacked the joint with grease and reassembled that also. So close, yet so far!!!! Normal!

No Willie.

The arm/lever is at the bottom of the steering column that is inside the engine compartment for the back drive.

Sorry, not much progress this week. Who was working, parts still not here, a roof being done, etc. Lolol.

We did get the restored steering column, upper and lower control arms, and restored windshield wiper motor installed. Inner and outer tie rods with sleeve assembled. Calipers painted and new sleeves with bushings installed. Backing plates and caliper brackets cleaned and painted.
