Grant MacPherson Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 Bead blasted and repainted the back, cleaned up the guages, cleaned and repaired the clock, polished the sratches on the plastic lens. Waiting for a volt gauge to replace the amp guage and a new tach ( old one was sticking). 8 Quote
jft69z Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 Hey Grant, Where did you order the voltmeter from? Quote
420ponies Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 Did not know shiftworks has the conversion kit. Hmmm... Quote
Grant MacPherson Posted March 26, 2022 Author Posted March 26, 2022 yes, got it from Shiftworks, just arrived, shipping to Canada was ugly, $28.00 plus $16.00 brokerage and handling. here is a picture of the box. Smaller packaging might have helped. 2 1 Quote
jft69z Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 Good, I'm glad to see they finally got those in production again. There was a time a couple of years ago when I was looking for one, I spoke to the owner of Shiftworks and he said they couldn't get them manufactured anymore and was having trouble finding another good supplier. I ended up getting the Dakota Digital RTX instead at the time, partly due to the voltmeter, but I would have needed to get an electronic conversion for the speedo anyways, raising the cost as well. At that point I decided to go with the D/D. 1 Quote
Grant MacPherson Posted March 28, 2022 Author Posted March 28, 2022 I sent Shiftworks a picture of the packaging and they said they need it that large to be able to place all the shipping documents. I still think you could source stick on evelopes smaller than 5x11 but maybe that is the size customs wants. Quote
Dtret Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 They have learned from experience. A part that small gets lost. Put it in a bigger box. At least they didn’t do the box in a box in a box in a box trick. Lol. Quote
