Denny Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 anyone know the size of the hole in the lower a frame for the bolt that the swaybar ataches? Mine are egged I did weld them to round again but wonder if they should be sized to the studbolt or if theres abushing? any help appreciated Quote
MC1of80 Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 The holes are known for stripping out. The threads are cut into the frame. Back in the day we used to slide a nut, inside the frame channel over the hole and install the bolt. Quote
cny first gen 71 Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 I belive they are 3/8-16 if you welded them just try tapping them out see if they hold, if not do the nut thing in the frame. Quote
jft69z Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Are you talking about the front lower control arm hole, where the long 3/8" bolt attaches with the bushings & sleeve? Quote
Dtret Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 That’s just a 3/8 hole. The sway bar link has a bushing on each side. Bolt, washer, bushing, a arm, bushing, washer, sleeve, washer, bushing, sway bar, bushing, washer and the nut. Now that I think on it, it could be 5/16. Check the size of the long bolt the came in the link kit. Quote
