I will start with the mirror, How do you tighten the rear nut on the mirror without cutting out the inner sructure? I spent quite awhile and a few choice words getting flat washer, lock washer and nut on it but can't get a wrench on it to tighten. Was thinking of picking up a 7/16 crow foot and try that?

The other problem today was went to install the lower fender shields from the parts place and they do not fit very well, afraid they will break if I bolt them in as they are. Do you heat them to reshape or slot the holes?

any help would be great

thanks

Grant,

I went with a 1/4" drive socket set with a few extensions and a swivel joint.

It's tricky, and you may have to use a "shepard's hook" to align the top end onto the nut while holding the driver at the bottom....

Like I said, it's tricky.

As for the lower fender shields, do you have any photos ? Not sure what you're trying to fit together...

Scott.

Couldn't get a socket on the mirror, ended up with a custom bent wrench.

am I being too picky on the fender fillers? it fits nice on the inner frame buts drops off as it goes outward. were yours the same?

thanks

That works !!! LOL

I've got meat hooks for hands, (and sausages for fingers) so the bent wrench wasn't as easy an option. ;)
