Frame yes. Well maybe. The cover has not been off the rusty body in almost 3 years ( may not be anything left) so that’s a big fat no on the car. lol. 😂

Those blue 55 plastic barrels filled with water do a good job holding the front end down.  I was rebuilding an engine on the street years ago.  I kept the barrel under the hood while the engine was out...  Kept the neighbors from calling in derelict automobile to police.

Wow, I thought the "convertable" mount was discontinued after the strike and GM deleted the option even though it was in the assembly manual.  Good to know.  So the single mounts must be for the Chevelle non-convertibles?

Back in the day I was on a first name basis with the local LEO's, it was for the music NOT the cars 🤣

Not positive but I think so.

Another day in the books. Very few interruptions so that was good, but she fought me on most everything. I guess she doesn’t want to roll again. lol. I have one fitting on one brake line that is the wrong size. So I have an e-mail into Inline Tube , let’s test customer service after a year and a half after purchasing.

I'm impressed Dennis but they worked much faster on the assembly line...JK loving the progress, keep up the work!

So I had an issue yesterday with the stainless brake line kit that I ordered from Inline Tube. The line that goes from the passenger side caliper to the prop valve had the wrong size fitting on it for the prop valve. I emailed them and asked them what they can do. The response was less than overwhelming. “ I see that we made the line incorrectly and we will gladly send you a new line , you just pay 13.50 for shipping.” So on the phone I go. Their response “ due to the time frame since the purchase ( I bought the kit over a year ago) we went up and above by giving you the new front line and only charging shipping “. Not happy. If I would have noticed this in the first 30 it would have been covered completely. I got smart and ask them “ So you are selling parts to people who restore cars?  “ yes” Tell me when was the last time you have seen someone restore a car in 30 days. Silence. I paid the 13.50. I think I can cut the line, change the fitting and double flare it. But I have never flared stainless before. So the rambling question is, how much different is it to flair than regular line?  I have the Mastercool hydraulic flaring tool with all the adapters.

I had problems inline also. I bought the screen over the wiper transmission, it didn't fit correctly and they didn't want to refund me. The return request was about a week after receiving it. They finally did but it was the last time I will call them. I have no idea about your flare question. Good luck

Dennis, use a lot of windex when flaring that stainless line. acts as a "lube" so it doesn't tear the metal.

I've had issues with Inline's customer service too. They're one of the last places I'll use, unless there's no other option.

I've flared stainless tube with the Mastercool kit, no issues.

My brother has double fare the stainless many times.  He said it is harder to work with and harder to get a seal.  Expect to put more torque on it for the seal.

He has talked me out of the SS and going back to steel lines.  Especially since it will not be on salt covered roads any longer.   Good Luck!

I ordered the SS for the 70 and the steel for the 71 I’m working on. Kinda think I should’ve done both steel. They are on my cars so they probably won’t even be driven. ( 512 miles on my 71SS since December of 22. lol )
