Is there a supplier and or manufacturer recommendation for the correct 1970 hood insulation blanket and the correct steel clips? Are the steel clips able to be reused?

I have not seen the steel clips reproduced, only the plastic ones. I’m sure the steel ones could be reused though. The hood insulation seems fairly consistent between vendors in my experience. The Parts Place, Original Parts Group, CARS Inc, etc.

Be sure to clean out and ream the holes if you're using the plastic clips.... And if you can, get a few extra. The reproduction ones aren't as sturdy as the original.

The existing are the square steel with the points punched so the square looks like it has two arrows. I see the Parts Place in Dekalb and Luttys Chevy both have them.

I used the ones from The Parts Place. Worked fine.

That’s great, I had not seen those reproduced before.

Steve, I have 4 nos pads left if needed.   Shipping would be awful from nj though.
