JP_AstroMan Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 ... surrounding the cigarette lighter. I seem to be missing something and it bugs the heck outta me. Here's what I have... Quote
MC1of80 Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Besides the obvious heating element itself (the lighter) missing, the housing has slipped down. Needs to be recentered and tightened. If you wanted, you could paint the outer portion, between the woodgrain hole black. Also looks like the housing MAY have been replaced with a smaller (outer) diameter housing. 🤔 1 Quote
1970mcss Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Like Tom says, clean it up and re-center it. The knob from the element covers most of the opening. 1 Quote
JP_AstroMan Posted April 20, 2023 Author Posted April 20, 2023 I did actually paint around the outlet...and it just looks awful because the surface is so rough. I might need to make a surround of some sort and slip it behind the wood. I'm surprised that something isn't missing in between there. The lighter itself doesn't hide it at all. Anyhow, thanks once again for the replies. Quote
1970mcss Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Yes, it does look a bit unfinished. Maybe a flat black ring of some kind. Or maybe a piece of burlwood to match the dash. 2 Quote
