1971 vs 1973 454 air cleaner assembly.. Does anyone know the differences?

Need a air cleaner assembly a 71 SS454, know they are tough but see a couple 73-74 out there and in pics they look alike . Does anyone know what is different or give me measurements of the snorkel. Guessing the base shoud be the same. length and width

The only difference that I noticed was the end of the snorkel ( that may be deceiving because of the rust) and the newer one has the extra large dimple inside the base above the carb. It’s faint so you have to look close. Yes guy’s it was tough to keep my feet out of the pics.

To me, the rustier one has a bigger/taller snorkel opening, lid & body are slightly bigger in diameter and lids have different pattern in how they’re stamped.

That looks close enough for his deal. It is not the original engine but just has a chrome open element one on it now. 

The lid is different but maybe any older lid will fit even 2 barrel

Yeah that's pretty close.  Is the vent tube  to the valve cover available still? I found one air cleaner alone and one with the tube. With the tube is much higher.

Or do you want to get rid of this one?

After further review the original call stands. Same. I can push the snout out to make it match. It’s amazing how deceiving pictures make things look.

Also it needs to be noted, I have no idea what year this other air cleaner is. But I do know it’s in that era and off a 454.
