Dtret Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 I’d put dancing bananas out there but that’s beneath me so you get this. Welcome home it looks great. 1 3 Quote

Canuck Posted February 14, 2024 Author Posted February 14, 2024 Engine and trans are back in. Now reassembly begins. 6 Quote
Marks71 Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 That is really coming out nice. I like the attention to detail and the “can never have enough protection” mentality. 2 Quote
Canuck Posted February 25, 2024 Author Posted February 25, 2024 It’s all assembled except for the distributor and spark plugs. Just waiting to schedule a time for the engine builder to come by and help with the first startup. The suspense is killing me. Days feel like weeks at this point 🤣. 11 Quote

cny first gen 71 Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 Well have you taken it out for a ride yet? Enquiring minds want to know! 1 Quote
jft69z Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 Yep, take it out and give it a little load, it'll help seat the piston rings. Not redline, but don't be afraid to put your foot in it a bit. Just running it at idle or on a test run stand isn't enough. 1 Quote
Canuck Posted March 4, 2024 Author Posted March 4, 2024 I need to get some buddies over to put the hood and bumper on before I take it out. Not sure when that will happen yet as I’m into my busy season at work. There’s a couple minor leaks I have figure out and deal with first as well. I’ve been sick this weekend so haven’t been in the garage since Friday. 3 Quote
Rob Peters Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 Hope you're feeling better tomorrow Aaron. rob Quote
