Hood Emblem 1971 MC

When I bought my MC from the car dealer he gave me the hood emblem which looks like the lower part was broke. I was wandering how the emblem attached to the hood and if I would be able to repair it. Thanks Wes

There should be a "hook" on the spring at the opposite end of the emblem. The hook hooks onto the lower part of the main body of the hood spear. It appears that the one the dealer gave you is broken on the lower end.

Maybe you can find a spring at your local hardware store. One near me has a display like this.
