My life has been a rollercoaster for the last few years and haven't had time or resources to do much with the Monte.  But I'm happy to say that I'll be at Carlisle with the Monte and I can't wait!!

They made me wear an ID badge at work so I wouldn't forget who I was 🤣. They said it was because it was a federal facility but I knew the truth.

Took the ‘71 by Dad to change the oil before next week.  And as sure as the sun sets in the west, he insisted he crawl under the car. He’ll be 85 next month and ain’t goin’ out without a fight 💪🏼

Think I’ll ask him to throw a coat of wax on her when he’s done 🤣😂

I had to take a jump starter yesterday to jump my Dad's Grand National. He took my Mom to the park and the car died, he's 84 and I was hoping I wouldn't get there and have to crawl under the car to possibly bang on the starter...but I know he would have if it would have been necessary, lol.

Done with the last minute checks, oil, fluids, tire 🛞 pressure, car and trailer, bearings , totes packed , clothes packed, Carlisle stickers and envelope. Tools, spare tires, jacks, flashlights, 🔦 snacks, road drinks. And a prayer.. heading out Tuesday morning. Gonna be a hot day too. Hoping for clouds ☁️..

I noticed it will be hotter in Carlisle than it will be in Florida. Figures. 

 

Changed my oil today, belts yesterday. Car is always ready for a road trip so not much left to do but check air pressures and pack.

Jim, you are correct, we have a heat wave coming in for next week so everyone be sure to bring your bathing suit because we may have to do our bench racing in the hotel pool.  Maybe we will have a game and prize to see who looks best in their bathing suit so don't forget to bring your speedo's.

I washed the Monte today, will "aerospace" the top tomorrow. Tomorrow the tow truck gets topped off and loaded up with everything except the coolers Might even get washed 🤣 Sunday will be trying to make sure I have everything on the list, and if I forgot anything 🤣 and then hooking up the trailer and prepping for the Wed nite load up. Very excited 🤘

The weather forecast has changed.  What they are saying now is completely different from a few days ago.  It may change again before we arrive.

How old is that picture? 

Reason I ask (and believe it or not, not busting your b*lls), I see what looks like a building going up in the background. Is that before you put up the existing building, or are you doing another one too?

Green is loaded on the trailer for a show in Cleveland tomorrow and it will remain on the trailer for Carlisle. Blue is loaded front to back with stuff for Carlisle. See y’all soon.

Be careful Jared.  You will be running parallel to I-81 a good bit of the way.  We drove a bit of the Blue Ridge Parkway a number of years ago.  It is beautiful but at 25 to 35 MPH most of the way it is a very long but beautiful trip.  I know there is no need to tell you to take a lot of pictures, you have that down pat.

Thats a new one , a pretty basic pole barn but with steroids (the cement) because it's cut into the hill. Thats why the trailers getting hooked up this weekend, so they can work around my sh** not vice versa 🤣
