Time for me to let my 1970 SS go to someone that may use it more than me. Bought it here a few years ago. Car is really clean and nice. Astro Blue with Black bucket seat interior. Call me on my landline in the evening at 706 563 0569. Asking $55,000.

I had many conversations with the previous owner before DrDave. This car was stored in bubble with air circulation and the guy loved this car.  Then it was 35,000 which imo was too much for the car at that time but a few years later and wow 55,000.  Good luck with the sale.

Considering a small block car is 30k. Why is this only worth 35k a few years ago?

I'm fairly certain that this car was NOT advertised for $35,000 when I purchased it.

It is worth what the market will bear. What it did or did not sell for a few years ago is irrelevant at this point. It appears to be a well looked after 1970 SS454 and the asking price appears reasonable from the recent sales of SS Montes I’ve seen. 🙂

I agree with Canuck. I'm also happy to say I've made great profits on several Montes over the years, and as long as both buyer and seller are happy, you can call that a successful transaction. (Regardless of who made what.)

This has always been my way of thinking.

It sure would be the one.  Except I would want power everything. Chevelle parts readily available. going to have one and a true SS Heavenly. Know I could do myself. just need reasonable  donor car and get to feeling better. maybe be able to start on next year as pet project...   I think I know of another donor. And I'll just build from used part's except ragtop assembly.  Gotta have one.

A lot more to a vert than just a soft top.

I am quite a phenomenal rocket scientist, engineer and fabricator. Just because I have cancer, and the world has no use for individuals like me is no reason to doubt my abilities please.
