Hood scoops or color ? 🤣 On the record I'm a fan of "nice hood scoops" 🤣

No issues with your blue......... It's what I call the baby bird eggshell blue, I know blue ovals had'm not sure if mopars did. Jared mentioned in another post this (pictured) may have been a special order Carolina blue.  With the top its not as offensive to me as a single color or maybe I'm just biased on Montes 🤣

I'm partial to the unique colours..... Everything these days are grey, light grey, dark grey...... or black. Or the "wine" colours.

The colour of Montelishi was a promenent factor when I picked her. Almost everything available at the time had been repainted black, despite the interior, (which was usually green)

See !!!

Being green isn't bad.... lol

Except for the I.D. plate indicating that she wasn't born until the 3rd week of Jan. 1970, and started life out as a Mint Green, she might have been. ;)

I think I like all the colors on the Monte’s but my favorite would have to be the Cottonwood Green lol it just screams 70’s 😂. Wes

Those are all amazing.  I am starting to think the vinyl top cars or the two tone cars set off the body lines better than a single color.  Wow!  No, double Wow!!

I never realized there were so many different colors available for the Monte. They all look great. Right now, since we are partial to our own cars, my favorite color is primer grey.  But hopefully soon to be black.

Mine was an awful brown and a very bad paint job. They tried for classic copper but missed I lived with it for a couple years then painted it a blue. Not a stock chevy blue but I like and have received very nice comments from many people. Here's before and after paint.

Love your car, color and hood scoop. The color is similar to my 7120240520_134034.thumb.jpg.99483737a993d3e17e16aee63350607a.jpg

I love my gold/black 70, but my favorite color combo would be triple black like my very first car.large.Monteindrivewy5-25-23.jpg.6e3ca93dccaff8d098d4427e2856e38e.jpg

My 1971 blue is not a stock color but I like it. It was repainted and had a new black vinyl top.

My 70 is Color Code 50, Gobi Beige with a Gold Vinyl Top. A very rare color to see. Of course I love it. She does attract some attention

My 72 is Color Code 15 Cranberry Red with a Black Vinyl top. It is a neck breaker, as guys of a certain age cannot her go by without a look.

I have on more than a handful of occasions thought about the following…

instead of going with the originality of the vinyl top, have someone proficient in airbrushing/paint work to replicate the grain pattern of the vinyl.  Kinda like when they stain concrete to make it look like marble, etc.

If not paint, maybe a wrap. Depending on how good it looks, it might be indiscernible to the naked eye unless you were right on top of it or to feel it.  And it would all but completely alleviate any chances of the dreaded rust around the back glass.

Gotta go now… I’m gonna patent/trademark this, my latest ingenious idea.

This is my '70 Black Cherry in progress. It's has the patina, that's for sure, but it's now running and it's an original Black Cherry (code 78) with a Black vinyl (early '70 halo) top, Buckets, Console and Power Windows.

Second place is the '72 Mohave Gold (code 63), just beautiful with it's shading and glow.

Yes, great colour. Here’s one I sold last year with 11,000 original miles.
