Thank you !The photo was taken during what is called “ golden hour”. One hour or less before complete sunset. I used to take professional wedding pictures and incorporated this into some pre wedding photo shoots …Ron..

Not as lucky as you guys, but i heard there was a doe 2 houses away last week!!!  In this house almost 40 and never seen one here!!  They are building behind me 3-400 apartments and it pushed the doe out. I would love to see her here!!

Kind of as exciting…I saw 2 rats scurry along a row of garbage cans as I backed into the garage earlier.

NEVER saw a rat in my neighborhood for as long as I can remember. Now?  Sightings are increasingly regular occurrences ever since baiting was deemed “cruel” by the wonderful mayor at the time 10 or so years ago. City council proposed feral cats instead.  Most froze to death during the brutal Chicago winters 😂

Just another reason this city will be in the rear view mirror soon after retirement.

I'm not much of a fan of venison so I only look, but they play hell around here with the farmers and their crops with the population.  I have no issues with the people that feed their families and share with the needy in the area. My buddy's butcher made flavored  "slim Jims" last year, wasn't impressed with some but the pepperoni was damn good.
