bobsmc Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 yes it is correct mine is a 72 but i yhink they r the same it mounts to the last 2 intake bolts on the drivers side.
Kevin Wiles Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 ok mine was mounted wrong, i wonder if it was mounted wrong for a good reason, like the detent cable is too long or too short.
kc8oye Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 i don't know if that's correct for a 70-72 monte or not.. i had one.. but it was the only thing that worked with my 1986 kick down cable on my TH350.. (the type with the long slotted bar) it mounts to the very back two intake bolts on the driver's side. I used that bracket with my EddelBrock Performer RPM intake, but I had to put 1" tall bronze spacers under it, so that it would clear the intake runner... now that I runn a holley carb, I have an all-in-one bracket that bolts to the carb ~
