I got an unexpected package in the mail this morning. I got a 10 year member award! Just wanted to thank the club and its members for everything. I’ve never received an award like this before, it really means a lot. Cheers to ten years and many more to come! Thank you guys!!

Almost out of diapers Glen 😅 did you get involved with any of that Nascar stuff over last weekend? That looked kinda cool except for the rain on Sunday.

I could have opted to work my days off assigned to the races, Steve, but I instead did my OT “doggy sitting”.  Much less likely to encounter any issues dealing with a handful of dogs as opposed to +/- a million people.  Seniority is a wonderful thing 😎. That said, one of my buddies took his family on Saturday and said it was an incredible experience.

I don’t follow it religiously but I’ll enjoy watching a race on television from time to time and I’ve been to one or two when they made it here to Joliet.  There is no feeling or sound comparable to when they drop the green flag for the first time.  Absolutely insane.

I have never been to the Indy 500, but I won tickets from a local radio station several years ago (2010-2015ish ??) and gave them to a friend/coworker/tenant. I still have the lousy T-shirt he got me 😂

Personally I'd rather hang out with dogs than the general population 🤣 I always found it funny, NFL games shut the beer concessions down at half time, nascar used to let you bring in a cooler

Last race I went to was 2013, to quote Richard Petty, it had become entertainment rather than racing . I was a BIG fan having grown up around dirt tracks, still look at the news, Kevin Harvick, last active Winston Cup driver retires, SHR shutting down ........and so on. But if you walk in my garage its full of old nascar banners 😲

There's a lot of NASCAR 90s stuff hanging on my walls in the garage. You know what I also have hanging in the garage?... My FGMCC 10 year blanket. Congrats on 10 years Ryan.
