If this car is a numbers matching 454 Custom, that’s a rare car. Needs a lot of work though but appears to be nicely optioned.

Another '72 Monte Carlo SS! Wonder when they stopped making them? 😉 I don't see anything here that says it is even a Custom but maybe that's in the original listing. 

I was completely unaware of that First Generation Monte Carlo group on FB! Is that the one that some of our members are also on?  Anyway, I asked to join so I'll see what they say.

The car has the Custom emblems, sport mirror and wide belt molding. Looks like it could be the real deal. Hopefully he kept the original 12 bolt posi rear end.

That fb group has been around a long time.

There's actually a bunch of First Gen groups on FB. I'm signed up for something like 4 of them, and there's plenty more I'm not. Yes, some of our members belong to a few of them as well.

One downside...You'll see a guy post the same question on every one of those groups. Naturally, as we've seen on FB, you'll get a lot of wrong answers on all those groups too 😁. (except for the guys from here, they do a great job there as well, trying to answer questions).
