JP_AstroMan Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 There is an old relay located behind the battery...my horn has stopped working and I'm guessing it's this relay that is no longer clicking. I'm wondering if that's what it is and what else it's up to. Or maybe it's a previous owners work. Anyhow, if anyone has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated as always. Quote
Canuck Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 That does not look like factory wiring or a factory relay. The horn relay is mounted in a different spot and the location varies based on the year. 1970 horn relay is on the rad support on the drivers side. I think it is on the firewall for 71/72. 3 Quote
Scott S. Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 Yeah... IF it's the horn/buzzer relay, it's definitely aftermarket and has been re located. Quote
JP_AstroMan Posted July 19, 2024 Author Posted July 19, 2024 It did end up being for the horn. Replaced it with a waterproof relay and the horn is back. Quote
Scott S. Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 Good to hear.... Some "temporary quick fixes" get forgotten once the issue goes away. 1 Quote
