GideonBowles Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 So I have my car almost finished engine and ready to drive but I do not have a fan shroud, I had a really crappy one I made myself, but that’s not gonna work and I do not have the money to buy a stock one. Does anybody have any suggestions? I’m considering buying a All-Star fan shroud and then buying myself a 16 inch fan that will fit in it, but I’m open to using a different car as long as it’s not expensive or anything. Thank you very much. Quote
mon-tss Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 Just get you a 55 gallon drum and cut it in half. Problem solved. 1 1 Quote

420ponies Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 (edited) For the price of that All Star fan shroud (which I don't think will work) ,best place to get a shroud is The Parts Place($139.00 ?) Then as Dennis suggested, use his tunnel (or your old tunnel). I can send you new staples (have some left over from my build). It's a long way from the radiator to fill up that gap. If you have your original blade fan, The parts place has a new clutch for it also. This is one area you don't want to skimp out on. You can do a lot of damage to a new motor without the right cooling(air flow). I'd also suggest an add-on trans cooler. You can run it through the radiator 1st ,then to the added one and your transmission will thank you for it! Edited July 24, 2024 by 420ponies added content 5 Quote
